Markus Varesvuo turned lifelong birding into full-time professional wildlife photography in 2004, a year after being named the International Wildbird Photographer of the Year. His award-winning images feature in magazines around the world. He has published several books and held numerous exhibitions, both in his native Finland and internationally. His photography focuses on the birds of Europe; one lifetime is not enough to cover all the birds of the world as extensively as he’d like to.
