Lesley Evans Ogden is a freelance multimedia journalist based in the verdant suburbs of Vancouver, Canada, where she is a settler on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Sḵwwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓lwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) First Nations. Earning a doctorate in ecology before crossing a career bridge to science communication, Evans Ogden is captivated by the natural world and its stories. She writes about science internationally for print, web, and television, with her words and photography featured by outlets including the New York Times, BBC, ARTE and CBC.
