Douglas Thorne is a professional photographer who resides in Te Anau, New Zealand, just a five-minute drive from Fiordland National Park. While he specializes in real estate photography and other commercial projects, his proximity to the park, one of the country’s most beautiful, allows him ample time to photograph wildlife, landscape, and astronomical subjects as well. In 2020 Thorne was named Wildlife Photographer of the Year by the New Zealand Geographic magazine.
